Bob Hurley’s Induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame

The greatest high school basketball coach of all time, Bob Hurley, of St. Anthony High School, Jersey City, is inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass. I consider myself blessed to have known Bob and to have learned from Bob — not just about basketball, but about life itself.

Mr. Hurley, Sr. Reminds me of my first Spanish Language, Teacher. He was intense, in your face and wanted excellence. I learned more Spanish from him than other teachers following. For a man who could have had more riches as a Coach he chose to stay at this school and make a difference. Good Man!!
